Free Dirt Records recording artist Pokey LaFarge & The South City Three wowed a large and enthusiastic crowd on August 1, 2010 at the Newport Folk Festival, and a number of music critics in the audience wasted no time before sharing their excitement about the performance.
Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three to release “Riverboat Soul”
The Mississippi River runs as an undercurrent through this collection of songs, a tribute to the ragtime and jug band influences of St. Louis, Missouri, the city LaFarge has most recently called home.
